Founded in 1873, LCFS has been providing hope and help to the least among us for more than 130 years. Today, LCFS serves more than 40,000 individuals of all faiths, races and ethnic backgrounds each year through programs such as adoption, counseling, foster care, residential treatment and a variety of community services. Each year LCFS supervisors more than 700 foster children in homes throughout Illinois.
