United Friends of the Children helps through their Housing and Education Programs, where foster youth are "provided with the opportunity to graduate from high school, attend and graduate from college, get a job, find housing and have a support system that moves them gradually towards independence". They have resource and links, donation and volunteer opportunities, and alumni networks.

UCAN's mission is to build strong youth and families through compassionate healing, education and empowerment and they provide programs that speak to each of the three areas. Their website contains useful resources and plenty of ways to get involved or volunteer.

We are a powerful network speaking out and getting results for the nation’s children. With 60 members in 46 states, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, we speak out on Capitol Hill, in State Legislatures, and in City Halls in a concerted yet bold manner to improve the lives of and insure a brighter future for all children.

The VOICES’ network is connected in a shared vision of a world in which every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential. To achieve this vision public policies at all levels of government – local, state, and federal – must further the positive and healthy development of all children.

Voices for Illinois Children champions the full development of every child in Illinois to assure the future well-being of everyone in the state. We work with families, communities and policymakers on all issues to help children grow up healthy, happy, safe, loved, and well educated.
